Description

The Volantex Sport Cub S2 is a fantastic beginner-friendly trainer plane designed to make learning to fly simple and enjoyable. With its compact 400mm wingspan, lightweight EPP foam construction, and durable design, it’s the perfect size for flying in parks, open fields, or smaller outdoor spaces. The flexible foam helps absorb those inevitable beginner bumps and rough landings far better than more fragile models, making it a great first RC aircraft. Ready-to-Fly (RTF) straight out of the box, it includes the plane, transmitter, 3.7V 400mAh LiPo battery, and USB charger - just add 4x AA batteries for the controller and you're ready for take-off.

Designed specifically for new pilots, the Sport Cub S2 features Volantex’s XPilot stabilization system with a built-in 6-axis gyro, helping the aircraft stay balanced and stable even in light wind conditions. It also includes 3 flight assist levels - Beginner, Intermediate, and Expert - allowing pilots to build confidence step by step as their flying skills improve. In Beginner Mode, full gyro assistance keeps flying smooth and predictable, making take-offs and early flights far less intimidating.

The simple 3-channel setup controls throttle, rudder, and elevator, giving smooth and easy handling that’s ideal for learning. Helpful features like One-Key Aerobatics and One-Key U-Turn add extra fun while still keeping things beginner-friendly. The clever prop saver system is another great touch - if the plane takes a knock, the propeller can safely pop off the shaft instead of breaking, helping reduce damage and getting you back in the air faster. The 2.4GHz radio system also allows multiple planes to fly at the same time without interference, making it perfect for flying with friends or family.

To avoid damaging the battery, never fully discharge it and always disconnect it from the RC model when not in use. Leaving it connected can slowly drain the battery below safe levels.

Most of our items take between 45 mins to 2 hours to charge, but it varies on the size of the battery and speed of the charger.

Brushed motors are great for beginners - they’re affordable and simple. Brushless motors are more powerful, efficient, and offer better speed and durability, making them ideal for experienced pilots.

Planes and helicopters may need some simple assembly. All models come fully RTR including remote, battery, and charger unless otherwise stated!

Most of our RC models are suitable for ages 8 and up, depending on the model. Simpler models with lower speeds are great for kids, while high-speed or brushless models are better for teens and adults.

With adult supervision this can be stretched younger, but we'd always recommend parents consider all factors such as their child's ability and safety.
