The Unboxing Experience - What’s Inside the box

Each RCG Racing Wind Speed or Storm Rider buggy arrives ready to run (RTR), providing everything you need to get started:

  • RCG Racing 1/16 scale 4WD buggy (Wind Speed or Storm Rider)

  • 2.4GHz transmitter for precise, interference-free control

  • 7.4V 2000mAh Li-Ion battery, offering up to 30 minutes of run time

  • USB charger for convenient charging

  • 4x spare body clips

  • Mini screwdriver for maintenance and battery installation

  • Hex spanner

These buggies feature a detailed hard plastic body shell, LED headlights, and oversized wheels with patterned tyres, making them stand out both in appearance and performance. The coil-sprung shock absorbers and double wishbone suspension ensure smooth handling on various terrains.

Optional Upgrade - Bundle and Save

The standard 2000mAh battery provides about 30 minutes of runtime, but if you're aiming for extended RC fun, the bundle is a great upgrade. It comes with an extra batteryextra charger, and AA batteries for the transmitter—so you can keep driving while the second battery charges!

How to get these buggies up and running:

This RC buggy is super easy to get up and running, just ensure you have 3x AA batteries for the transmitter at the ready.

Charging the battery

All batteries arrive 70% charged but, we recommend fully charging all batteries before using your RC cars to avoid any disappointment.
We recommend charging via a mains-powered USB outlet (maximum 2A) for more consistent charging.

When plugged in, the charger shows a red light. Once the battery is connected, a flashing green light will appear to indicate charging. When fully charged, the green light will turn solid. Charging typically takes around 2 hours, depending on the power source.

Transmitter set up

These hobby grade remote control cars, feature proportional steering with trims for both the throttle and the steering.

You have two lights on the transmitter, when the light is green you know the car is connected. If it is red or flashing red this indicates that either the batteries in your transmitter or your car are either flat or on its way to needing to recharge

From here, you are good to go. Always ensure that you turn the transmitter on first and then the car.

Driving the two buggies

We took the buggies out for a drive on both soft and hard terrain to see how they would handle the surroundings

Starting with the soft terrain first, the buggies had no issue at all over the freshly mown grass. And with 46 mm ground clearance, they move pretty fast

On loose gravel however, this is where the real adventure and excitement is. We managed to get ourselves down to a local, small pump track where we could really test the speed of these buggies. Over bumps, jumps and gravel paths these guys really move. You can achieve some serious air time and create great donuts with the right power and positioning. We would caution against doing these stunts and tricks too often as this could cause some damage to the car.
