Carbon-fibre propellers, are they worth it?
We have always strongly advised against cheap, aftermarket carbon propellers found online from 3rd party sellers or eBay, we tend to find a trend with these items that they cause problems, and are not made to a good standard. We found several of the aftermarket propellers were either badly balanced, or made from cheap materials. They are very brittle and break very easily.
DJI have now solved the need for cool-looking carbon props by releasing their own. Made from carbon-fibre reinforced plastic, they are very light, yet very strong. Much like lightening a flywheel on a car, these will decrease inertia, allowing much more dynamic thrust.
