Easily the most anticipated DJI product yet. We finally get our hands on the DJI Inspire 1!
The Inspire 1, unlike any other DJI aircraft, was shipped to us in a customized carry case. The case is made of lightweight plastic incorporating soft-touch materials. It's definitely the smartest looking flight case we have seen.
Opening the case reveals the custom cut hard foam inlays ensuring a snug fit for the Inspire 1 as well as it's accessories.
We are pleased to see that the case is designed with expansion in mind. 5 batteries can be stored inside the case as well as space for an additional transmitter (highlighted in red).
The Inspire 1 airframe lives up to it's hype. It's unique design created using high quality materials such as carbon fibre looks incredible in the flesh.
A 6S 4500mah LiPo battery is included as standard with larger optional capacity batteries available soon.
The Inspire 1 transmitter looks fantastic with the matt silver and gloss white contrasting finish. The included holder accomodates both phones and small tablets.
The transmitter features a wide array of connectors including USB, micro USB, HDMI and Canbus enabling it to be paired up with virtually any device on the market.
As expected from DJI, the kit comes complete with all the accessories you need to start flying as well as some extra bonus items. This includes 2 complete set of propellors, wall charger with split end (to charge both the battery and radio at the same time), a radio harness, USB cables and a spare set of rubber dampers for the camera system.
The camera system comes in it's own storage box with foam insert to keep it secure in transit. A 16GB Lexar micro SD card was included with our demo unit.
The Inspire 1 looks fantastic with everything installed
The DJI Pilot app installs without any issues and is available for both Android and IOS. There are 2 main modes; The flight mode with google map overlay and flight data is designed for the pilot whereas the live FPV mode is for the camera operator.
We are super excited to fly this new quad. Stay tuned for our Inspire 1 first flight update to find out how it performs!
